Follow these instructions step by step to customize the icons on your iPhone with iOS 16.
Before you get started make sure you have all the images of the icons you would like to use saved on your phone.
1 — Open the 'Shortcuts' app
2 — Add a new shortcut by tapping the plus symbol in the top right corner
3 — Tap 'Add Action'
4 — Select the 'Scripting' option
5 — Tap 'Open App'
6 — Tap 'Choose'
7 — Select the app you wish to use the icon for
8 — Tap the icon with the 3 dots in the top right corner
9 — Tap 'Add to Home Screen'
10 — Tap the shortcut icon
11 — Tap 'Choose Photo' to open your photo library
12 — Tap 'Choose' to select the image
13 — Tap the cross icon to remove the label from your shortcut
14 — Tap 'Add' in the top right corner to add the shortcut to your home screen
15 — The confirmation that your shortcut is added to your home screen.
